Nina DiTommaso was born in Highland Park, IL, and grew up in a suburb of Chicago called Long Grove. She was born to Rudolph and Vivian, and her sisters are Briana and Alissa. Nina comes from a very large Italian family. She has always been active through out her life, involved in dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading. These activities helped her to develop her competitive spirit and athletic physique. She has been passionate about health and fitness for many years now. Nina is a firm believer in the total health of the individual, including physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
Nina went to the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. Nina is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Mental Health Service Provider, a Certified Mental Health Counselor, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She worked full time at Cornerstone of Recovery for eight years. Nina was the Director of Family Therapy Services and provided individual, group, couples, and family counseling for individuals with substance abuse and other addiction issues. While working there she was part of the employee health and wellness program and worked with the dietary staff to make healthy changes for the patients. Nina is an approved supervisor for mental health counselors in the state of Tennessee and is currently a PhD candidate pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education in the Educational Psychology and Counseling department at the University of Tennessee.
